The Metro Richmond Police Emerald Society, Inc. invites you to join them in honoring the memory of:
Virginia State Trooper Nathan-Michael W. Smith
Trooper Smith lost his life in the line of duty the morning of September 21, 2015 while responding to assist another Trooper with a traffic fatality.
A fundraiser will be held on Sunday December 6, 2015 (Trooper Smith’s Birthday) from 4 pm to 9 pm at El Arriero’s (12205 S. Crater Rd, Petersburg, VA 23805). The event is open to the public.
All proceeds will go directly to the family of Trooper Smith.
- T-Shirts will be sold honoring Trooper Smith
- A 50/50 raffle will be conducted
- A Silent Auction will be conducted
- A raffle will also be conducted.
- MRPES Pipes & Drums will play at 7 pm.
Please come support the family of Trooper Smith and honor the sacrifice he selflessly made for us all!!!

WHERE: Fraternal Order of Police John Marshall Lodge #2 (410 Plazaview Rd. Richmond, VA)
WHEN: October 10, 2015 from 6 pm until 11 pm admission is $40 and must be purchased in advance.
WHY: All proceeds will go to the MRPES Line of Duty Death & Scholarship Fund. These funds are used to assist the families of police officers who are killed in the line of duty in the Central Virginia Area.
HOW: The night will include a DJ and dancing, the Metro Richmond Police Emerald Society Pipes & Drums will also perform. You get all the food you can eat (Catered by Price George Family BBQ) and all the beer you can drink. If you like a bit stronger beverage you can bring your own and the bartender will gladly pour it for you using our mixers. There will be silent auctions, 50/50 raffle and other raffles. Admission is $40 and must be purchased in advance. You can pay for your admission by contacting any of the Board of Directors or by using PayPal. Please take the Pigs & Pigs Flyer and pass it out to all your friends. ONLINE SALES HAVE CLOSED. THERE WILL BE A FEW AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR SO FEEL FREE TO COME ON. Admission is limited to 100 total.

Join MRPES at the Church Hill Irish Festival at St. Patrick’s Church (N 25th St and E Broad St) on 3/21 & 3/22 from 10 am to 5 pm. We will have a tent and will be selling our SWAG. Also, our Pipes and Drums will be playing throughout the day.
Please join us at Shockoe Fest ? Rosie Connolly’s Block Party on March 14 from 11 am until 5 pm. Shockoe Fest will be in the Farmer’s Market and the Block Part will be at Rosie Conolly’s We will have a tent in front of Rosie Connolly’s (1548 A E Main St). The Pipes & Drums will be playing at both events.
A Sea of Blue March & Rally is being held on March 7th at the Public Safety Memorial on the Capitol Grounds. It begins at noon and ends at 1500 hrs. After the event everybody is invited to go to Rosie Connolly’s (1548 A E Main St) to socialize. The MRPES Pipes & Drums will be playing at the event and MRPES is helping support the rally.

Thank you to everybody that came out and supported us at the Highland Games. We have a great weekend. It was great seeing the Pipes and Drums playing and all the members having fun. Looking forward to next year!!!
