How do I become a member?
There are two (2) principal levels of membership within the Metro Richmond Police Emerald Society.
- Active – Is open to all active or retired law enforcement officers.
- Associate – Is open to any individual with a desire to support the Emerald Society, its mission and causes and law enforcement in general.
Dues are $25 annually or $250 for life, for each level and are due by 1 January of each year.
In addition there are two (2) additional special levels of membership.
- Pipes & Drums – Open to anyone with the ability or desire to play the bagpipes or drums and who are willing to do so on occasion for the Emerald Society. Dues may be waived.
- Honorary – This is a non dues paying level of membership which is bestowed upon individuals and organizations who have made a significant contribution to the goals, mission or welfare of the Metro Police Police Emerald Society.

- Go to our online application.
- Create a Profile (DOB, Phone Number, Address, Agency or Referring Person are all required fields)
- Choose member type and pay dues
- Complete application
Once finished we will be notified and will review and approve your membership.
